Privacy Policy
A policy so simple, it takes just four sentences.
Dawes Academic Consulting LLC (DAC) does not sell, share, expose, or provide for free your personally identifying information to any third parties outside of the systems we ourselves use to manage our business (as of April 2024: CounselMore, Constant Contact, Acuity, Soundboard, and Google). If we think an organization offers a worthwhile product, event, or service, we will send it to you and let you decide rather than make a quick buck exposing our families to additional spam. We only use your contact information to manage our practice and communicate with you ourselves: for your information, edification, and promotion. This also extends to your students’ personally identifying information.
What information do you collect?
In order to provide a personalized, comprehensive, and effective service to our families, we will collect parent and student names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, high school name, and graduation year. We will also collect from your student information on their academics: courses taken, extracurriculars, grades, GPA, SAT/ACT test scores, AP scores, and other information necessary to get a holistic picture of your student’s profile, including application essays.
How do we use your information?
As stated above, we do not sell, share, expose, or provide for free your personal information to any third parties. Your and your student’s data are used purely to provide a superior advising experience and to communicate with you directly. From time-to-time, anonymized student data may be shown to third-party counselors to seek additional advice or to audit for best practices in a purely professional and informational context. This can include, but is not limited to, transcripts scrubbed of personal data, an extracurricular profile, test scores, or essays. No names, contact information, graduation years, or high school names, will be associated with any of the data shared.
